Alice A. Buffington has represented plaintiffs in the area of Asbestos Litigation since 2001. In addition to specializing in Asbestos Litigation, she also handles Social Security Disability hearings. Prior to joining the law firm of Zamler, Mellen & Shiffman, she worked as an attorney specializing in the area of medical malpractice at law firms in Detroit and Southfield.
Prior to attending law school, Alice worked for several years as a Registered Nurse. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University, cum laude, in 1981 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She attended Wayne State University Law School and received a JD in 1990. She was a member of Wayne State’s Moot Court. She is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, cooking and traveling.
